Hanoi, Vietnam, 11-12 April 2017

Two scientists from the ViParc research participated in a series of meetings sponsored by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Hanoi from 11-12 April 2017. During this two-day event, Dr. Juan Carrique-Mas and Dr. James Campell contributed to the mission of ATLASS (acronym for Assessment Tool for Laboratory and Antimicrobial Resistance), which is a regional initiative aiming to help Vietnam build laboratory capacity for the veterinary surveillance of antimicrobial resistance.  The mission included representatives from FAO Regional Headquarters (Bangkok), alongside FAO Vietnam experts and researchers of Chulalongkorn University (Thailand). Two laboratories were visited, including the National Center for Veterinary Hygiene Inspection No.I (NCVHI No.1), and the National Institute of Veterinary Research (NIVR).
